Steven H. Kane is Board Certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in the area of Wills, Trusts, and Estates. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.S. 1976, with highest honors), his law degree from the University of Florida (J.D. 1980, with honors) and his master’s degree in taxation from the University of Miami (L.L.M. in Taxation 1983). He also is a certified public accountant.

Mr. Kane is a partner in the law firm of Kane and Koltun, located in Maitland, Florida. The firm practices primarily in the areas of corporate law, estate planning, probate, trust administration, deferred compensation and taxation. The firm is rated AV® (the highest rating currently available) by the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating system.

Professional Memberships and Associations

Mr. Kane is the former chairperson of the tax section of the Orange County Bar Associations. He is a member of the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants, the Real Property and Probate Section of the Florida Bar and the Tax Section of the Florida Bar. He is also the former president of the Central Florida Estate Planning Council.

Mr. Kane is a frequent speaker in the field of estate, trusts and asset protection planning. He is approved by the State of Florida as a qualified continuing education instructor and frequently conducts classes for insurance agents, accountants and other financial professionals. He is also actively involved in charitable gift planning and serves as legal advisor to a number of private foundations and charitable trusts. Mr. Kane was recently awarded the designation of “Million Dollar Advisor” by the Florida Hospital Foundation and was named as “Charitable Advisor of the Year” by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Florida.
